Welcome to the vAGE Visitors Center!

The purpose of the Visitors Center is to introduce you to the facets of Virtual AGE and to the ease with which you can use its components. vAGE is not distance education as most of us understand it. There are no modules. Rather, vAGE is a collection of instructional tools -- learning objects -- that we hope you will find useful in your efforts to teach our future health professionals.

vAGE is a HRSA supported project, #D37HP00853, designed to enhance the development of team competencies, particularly in the field of gerontology, among future health professionals who will most likely work in a team-oriented environment. The learning objects you will find here are designed to support your teaching no matter how go about it.

Are you uncertain if your students are ready to work substantially online? Have them use our online readiness learning object:

Are you ready to learn online?

Try it yourself! While not intended to be a test, this learning object helps the student examine the facets of online learning that have been identified as pertinent and predictive of success or failure in an online environment. It helps the student evaluate his or her openness, or readiness, to engage other students and instructors in an online environment. If you decide to incorporate this learning object you can make it part of your instructor resource request from the vAGE home page. We'll explain how that works.

We have worked very hard to make this project user friendly and "transparent".
Here is a brief tutorial to help you get started using vAGE.
